Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Loretta was my mother’s best friend practically my whole life and like a mother to me, as well. She and my mother were the best women I knew and awesome role models. I remember Loretta as kind, sweet, loving, generous and organized. She took care of everyone! The children of both families grew up together. I dearly love Loretta and though I know she is in the best place with loved ones who went before her, I’m sad in a way for yet another loss of a very special person in my life. Love and peace to my dear friend Sondra and all the family grieving this loss.

  2. Loretta Mae (Selch) Allison born December 27, 1933, met her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on September 14, 2025.

To know Loretta is to love Jesus! In fact she would not complete a sentence without saying “God Bless you”, “God is good” or “The Lord be with you.” She was the most selfless and devoted Christian women I have ever met. She always put others before her needs and it was her privilege to do so.

Loretta and her husband Paul raised 4 beautiful and courageous children. And then they were blessed with 8 grandchildren. Being one of their grandchildren is a blessing. We always had fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and grapefruit from the beautiful state of Florida. Their home for the winter months. But when they were not in Florida Grandma instilled upon us her love for Christian hymns accompanied by the piano.

Here is where my sister and I, along with my cousins found an appreciation for the gospel through music. Grandma (Loretta) loved to play the piano and sing. As young kids we would try to join in on the piano, but that didn’t always work out. We would usually just sit and finish singing the hymn with no piano accompaniment. She would be so proud of all of us not matter if it was good or bad. It was all music to the ears of Jesus.

Grandma was funny and had a great sense of humor even when she didn’t know it. I will miss her laugh, her trying to feed me, but most of all I will miss her kindness and her pure heart.

Grandma if I can be half of the wife and mother you were I know I can make it in this crazy world. We are all blessed to have known you, been loved by you, and most importantly found Jesus through you.

I know not to be sad in your death, but the human heart cannot help but to mourn a loved one. One day soon we will all be sitting at your dinner table accompanied by Jesus, and it will be the BEST meal we have ever eaten. Until that day please tell Grandpa we all said hi! And tell JESUS we are ready when he is!

We love you Grandma until we meet again!❤️

  3. Dave and Pat. I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother Loretta. You’re in our prayers, love you both ❤️.
