Born in: Casey County, Kentucky
Resided in: Mooresville, Indiana

Donnie Ray Wilcher, 81, Mooresville, passed away October 30, 2025, at Meadow Lakes, where he had resided for the past eight years.  Donnie was born on March 19, 1944, in Casey County, Kentucky, to the late Carl and Olean (Lane) Wilcher.

He attended Mooresville High School, and before opening his own business, he worked as a detailer at Wilcher Ford.  A very meticulous person, Donnie successfully owned and operated D-Tail-4-U for many years.  He took great pride in a clean car and ensured that his customers were always satisfied.

Donnie was a member of the Eagles Lodge and never turned down an opportunity to go fishing.  He was known for his favorite drink, Grape Kool-Aid.  Donnie was a people person through and through.  He loved to make people laugh and genuinely took an interest in others.  He became known as the Mayor of Meadow Lakes, where he made many lasting friendships with the staff.  He not only knew their names, but he took it a step further by learning about their lives.  You knew Donnie liked you when he gave you a nickname.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Linda and Bill Danes, and one son, Douglas Wilcher.

Survivors include his son, Christopher (Carrie) Wilcher; sister, Lora (Mike) Hoffman; grandchildren, Jacob (Sarah) Wilcher and Emma Wilcher; great-grandchild, Violet; nieces and nephews, Celeste (Doug) Clark, Charady (Darrin) Greene, Ben Hunter, Tyler Hoffman, and Michael Barnes; great nieces and nephews, Aerial, Kalib, Deklen, Breken, and Tinley.

Visitation and services will not be observed.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Cremation will take place at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.  Visit www.CarlisleBranson.com to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.
