Donnie Ray Wilcher, 81, Mooresville, passed away October 30, 2025, at Meadow Lakes, where he had resided for the past eight years. Donnie was born on March 19, 1944, in Casey County, Kentucky, to the late Carl and Olean (Lane) Wilcher.
He attended Mooresville High School, and before opening his own business, he worked as a detailer at Wilcher Ford. A very meticulous person, Donnie successfully owned and operated D-Tail-4-U for many years. He took great pride in a clean car and ensured that his customers were always satisfied.

He loved to make people laugh and genuinely took an interest in others. He became known as the Mayor of Meadow Lakes, where he made many lasting friendships with the staff. He not only knew their names, but he took it a step further by learning about their lives. You knew Donnie liked you when he gave you a nickname.
