Born in: Indianapolis, Indiana
Resided in: Mooresville, Indiana

Garrett Lee Thompson, 31, of Mooresville, passed unexpectedly and all too soon, on Monday, November 17, 2025 at his home.  He was born in Indianapolis to Jack Lee Thompson and Sharon Lynn (Petty) Thompson.

He worked as a carpenter for Faulkner Restoration 1 and worked at Big O Tires in Mooresville.  In his spare time, he enjoyed bass fishing and dirt bikes.  He also was a baseball fan.  His greatest joy was most definitely time spent with his children.  They are his pride and joy, and he loved being a dad to his son and daughter.

Garrett will be deeply missed by many family and friends including his mother, Sharon Thompson of Mooresville; father and step-mother, Jack and Michele Thompson of Indianapolis; son, Damien Lee Thompson; daughter, Lila Jane Ann Thompson; sisters, Cassie White (partner, Will Cansler) of Mooresville, Shelden (husband, David) Naugle of Indianapolis, and Torey (husband, Austin) Broyer of Mooresville; step-brother, Grant Bowen of Indianapolis; and paternal grandparents, Bob and Evelyn Thompson of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donald and Nancy Petty.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, November 21st from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.  Garrett’s Life Celebration® Service will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 22nd at the funeral home with an hour of visiting prior.  He will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery following the service.
