Violet Lee Lockhart

Violet Lee Lockhart, 88, of Greenwood, passed peacefully, while in the care of Greenwood Health and Community on Saturday, November 22, 2025.  She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on April 5, 1937.  She is the daughter of the late Gladys (Nithong) Martin and Lionel Snyder.

She was a homemaker and loving mother who believed in the importance of family.  She enjoyed sewing, loved flowers, liked to garden, and used to square dance.   A woman of faith, she was a dedicated Christian and follower of Jesus.  She was soft-hearted and always sweet.

Violet will be missed by her family including her sons, Greg (wife, Annely) Lockhart of Indianapolis, Kerry (Grace) Lockhart of Navarre, Florida, Darrell Lockhart of Atlanta, Georgia, and Carlin (wife, Christine) Lockhart of Suffolk, Virginia; brother, Garland Tobin; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother David Tobin.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, December 2^nd from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.  Violet Life Celebration® Memorial Service will follow beginning at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.  Her earthly remains have been cremated.
