David W. Johnson
52, of Greenwood, passed away on December 25, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. David was born on May 22, 1973 in Beech Grove Indiana to the late Bill Johnson and Judy (Mathews) Hedger, who survives.
Born with a strong work ethic, and natural leadership abilities, David worked as a general manager for Presidio for the past 15 years. He was known for being selfless and never met a stranger. He enjoyed driving his Hellcat Red Eye and was a member of the Circle City MOPAR. Additionally, he enjoyed cheering on his Kansas City Chiefs, fishing, and traveling to various destinations including Greece, with his beloved wife Kristyn. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a proud Dad, a strong protector, who always wanted the best for his family, and worked his tail off to provide for them.
He is survived by the love of his life of 31 years, Kristyn (Brummett) Johnson; his loving children Rebekah Stricker (Nick), Mariah Sheikhalmolooki (Kavon), Elijah Johnson (Taylor); mother Judy Hedger; sister Jennifer Meyers (Tom); grandmother Esther Johnson, as well as his first granddaughter due in January, whom he was so excited to meet.
Family and friends will gather in celebration of David’s life on Tuesday, December 30th from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 31st from 10:00am-11:00am with funeral services beginning at 11:00am in the funeral home. In honoring his wishes, he will be cremated following the services.
