Phyllis Ann Bible

Phyllis Ann Bible, 86, of Mooresville, died peacefully at Franciscan Hospital in Mooresville on Sunday, January 11, 2026 with family at her side.  She was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 17, 1939 to the late Willard Lewis and Ruth (Sanders) Lewis.

In 1957, she graduated from Concannon West High School in Terre Haute where she played basketball.  She married her best friend, Robert Bible, on January 1, 1988.  The couple have enjoyed over 38 years of marriage. They owned and operated Bible Bed and Breakfast in Edwardsville, Illinois for five years.  She greatly enjoyed their mini goats and farming in Florida. Her pride and joy is Lacy, her mini poodle.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends including her husband, Robert Bible; sons, Daniel Scott, Jeff Scott, and Tim Bible; daughters, Maria Bell, Wendy Krupka, Tonya Hommel, Angel Campbell, and Paula Decker; sister, Elaine Clark; 23 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, January 15^th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.  Phyllis’s Life Celebration® Service will begin at 10 am on Friday, January 16^th at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest at Madison National Cemetery.
