Deborah Jo Roggenbuck, 75, of Indianapolis, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 15, 2025 at her home. She was born in Ortonville, Minnesota on June 7, 1950 to the late Robert John Simonitch and Darlene Gail (Petrick) Simonitch.
She worked for American Medical Systems before later serving as a bartender at the American Legion in Carmel, Indiana, where she enjoyed the camaraderie of friends and patrons alike. An avid reader of romance novels, she found joy in quiet moments lost in a good book. She especially cherished time spent in the warmth of the sun, happiest when relaxing outdoors and particularly along the beach.
Deborah is survived by her family and friends including her sons, Justin Roggenbuck of New Brighton, Minnesota and Jesse (wife, Nikki) Roggenbuck of Columbia Heights, Minnesota; sister, Sally Simonitch; brother, Randy Simonitch, Rollie Simonitch; and grandchildren, Luke Roggenbuck and Sage Roggenbuck.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Darlene Simonitch; sister, Belinda Schiltgen; and brother; Robbie Simonitch.
The family will host a celebration of life on January 17th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the American Legion Carmel Post 155, 852 West Main Street, Carmel, IN. In keeping with Deborah’s wishes, her earthly remains have been cremated. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.
