Bruce Ward Boaz, 88, of Mooresville, passed on Friday, January 30, 2026. He was born in Peoria, IL on December 30, 1937 to the late Carlos Coin Boaz and Mae (Ward) Boaz.

He is survived by his wife, Jean (DeYoung) Boaz; daughter, Marie (husband, Jeff) Stinson; and granddaughter, Nichole Stinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bethany Weaver.

In keeping with his wishes, his earthly remains have been cremated. The family will gather for a private service.

  1. Bruce was a kind but closed man. Fortunately he excepted me and my passed wife Linda and new wife Karen into this life. He was welcoming and cordial and Karen and I ,were infrequent guests because living an other state. Linda and I visited Bruce and Jean, my cousin, one in Indiana. Bruce shared with his hobbies, tractors, models airplanes and his lawn. Didn’t know much about him but liked him. Rest in peace my friend.
