Jimmy Leonard Sizemore, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away at home on February 6, 2026.
He was born in Martinsville on August 9, 1964, to the late Matt and Thelma (Shephard) Sizemore. Jimmy spent much of his working life as a skilled drywall finisher, dedicating over 20 years to White’s Drywall, and also worked in construction. He took pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.
On June 15, 2001, Jimmy married the love of his life, Vickie Campbell, and together they built a life filled with family, laughter, and shared memories.
Jimmy had a deep love for the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. A passionate pro bass fisherman, he found peace and joy on the water. He also enjoyed RC cars, both collecting them and competing in racing events. Jimmy was a lifelong fan of comic books and action figures, especially Marvel and Detective Comics, and enjoyed spending time playing World of Warcraft. These hobbies reflected his curiosity, competitive spirit, and youthful enthusiasm.
Above all else, Jimmy loved his grandchildren immensely. They were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Jimmy will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his many interests, and the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Sizemore; children, Shonta Roberts (Stephen), Elisha Harper, Kason Harper, Karmyn Harper, and Kaylee-Kay Harper; granddaughter, Amaya; siblings, Gerry Sizemore (Debra), Ella Louis Chestnut (Earl), Wanda Hood, Simon Sizemore (Judy), Garry Sizemore (Marilyn), Linda Davison (Maurice), Donald Sizemore (Jeanette), Marinda Barger (Edward); and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Sizemore and his wife, Erma Sizemore.
Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville is entrusted with Jimmy’s cremation arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
