Robert E. Baldwin

Robert E. Baldwin, 91, a longtime Mooresville resident, passed away peacefully at home on Easter Sunday morning, April 5, 2026.  Bob was born on March 26, 1935, in Hendricks County, to the late William M. and Leona (Medsker) Baldwin.  He married the late Pasty J. Bollman on June 17, 1955, and she preceded him in death on December 12, 2021.

Bob graduated from Mooresville High School in 1954 and proudly served in the United States Army.  He continued his service with the Indiana National Guard for 34 years.  Often defined and remembered for a very strong work ethic, Bob was a capable and talented union carpenter, retiring in 2000.  He worked for Tousley-Bixler, P.R. Duke, and retired from Smock Fansler Corporation.

Bob liked to stay active and busy.  He was a devoted member and past president of the Mooresville Lions Club.  He was recognized as Lion of the Year in 2017.  He also volunteered for many years for the Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County and was honored as Man of the Year in 2003.  Bob was inducted into the Mooresville High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017.  He was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church.  Bob coached his girls’ softball teams as they grew up and will be remembered for his fairness as a coach and mentor.  Bob will always be remembered for his upstanding, honorable character and his friendly, kind spirit.

In addition to his parents and Pat, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Watson; brothers, Ronald and Johnny Baldwin; and sisters, Janice Baldwin and Janet Hanson.

Survivors include his daughters, Beth Dale and Chris O’Dell; grandchildren, James, Sarah, and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Jadin, Colton, and Stanton; and son-in-law, Wayne Watson.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.  The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m.  Burial, with military honors presented by the Mooresville Honor Guard, will take place in White Lick Cemetery.  Visit www.CarlisleBranson.com to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.

  1. I knew Bob as a great man in so many ways. I don’t remember ever being around a harder working man. We cut wood at the farm on Big Bend Road many times. I was 16 years younger but he put me to shame with his effort. He was very nice to me during my HS career at Mooresville. He always seemed to have a smile for me. It was a pleasure to know this wonderful man. God bless you Bob. You had a life well lived and now you rest in God’s arms. Rest peacefully my friend⛪️
