Cheryl Lynn Bain, 71, a longtime resident of Mooresville, passed away at home on April 28, 2026.

She was born in Mooresville on September 7, 1954, to the late Marvin Bain and Flo (Coleman) Tague. Cheryl graduated from Monrovia High School and spent her life rooted in the community she knew and loved.

Cheryl found happiness in the simple joys of everyday life. She enjoyed watching her favorite television shows, including M*A*S*H, The Andy Griffith Show, Everybody Loves Raymond, and The Young and the Restless. She had a deep love for music, especially listening to Eric Clapton, and was an avid reader who particularly enjoyed the Sue Grafton book series.

Above all, Cheryl cherished her dachshund dogs, who were her greatest companions and brought her endless comfort and joy. She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, and the warmth she showed to everyone she met.

Cheryl is survived by her step-mother, Loretta Bain; sister-in-law, Phyllis Bain; and two nephews and a niece.

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her son, Chad D. Carson; and brother, Jeffrey “Danny” Bain.

In honoring Cheryl’s wishes, there will be no services. She will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery.

Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville is entrusted with Cheryl’s arrangements.

  3. This is Steve Kaiser,, Cheryl and I went to the Sweetheart Dance of our Sophomore year at Monrovia High School. Her Mom ( Flo) pinned the boutonniere onto my lapel,,,My Mom (Shirley Kaiser) drove us to the Sweetheart Dance,,memories can sometimes have an instant recall and this is one of them,,, Blessed be her for sure,, and to those whom she Loved.
