David L. Monday, Sr.
74, of Mooresville, passed away on May 14, 2026 at home. David was born on September 11, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Albert and Martha (Swope) Monday.

David owned and operated Monday Drywall for many years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and going to car shows to show off his prized 1969 Roadrunner. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, who loved his kids and grandkids dearly, always willing to help anyone in need as well as a friend to all.

He is survived by his wife, Roseann (Jones) Monday; son David L. Monday, Jr. (Jess Stanley); daughter Christine Slocum (Jeff); grandsons Gus Monday, Austin Fields, and Ashton Shaw as well as many cousins and extended family and friends who will all miss him dearly.

Family and friends will gather in celebration of David’s life on Monday, May 18th from 4-7pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 19th at 10am in White Lick Cemetery.
