Bonnie Roberts

Bonnie Roberts, 68, of Mooresville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born in Hyden, Kentucky, on August 14, 1957 to Martha and Tommy Hensley, Bonnie moved to Indiana in 1975, where she married her endlessly devoted husband, Marc. This past March, they celebrated 51 years of marriage.

Bonnie was a hard worker and a person of fierce devotion. After retiring from factory work, she poured every ounce of her energy into her family. She was always their biggest supporter and encourager. She had a feisty personality and was never one to back down from a good-natured banter. She cherished family vacations to the beach, trips to the Great Smoky Mountains, and returning home to Kentucky to visit family and friends.

Her greatest legacy lives on in her two children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. In 2015, an organ donor gifted Bonnie with over 11 more years of life. This miracle allowed her to see her grandchildren graduate, watch her great-grandchildren be born and grow, and learn that another great-grandchild will arrive this February. Because of this gift, Bonnie became a passionate advocate for organ donation.

Survivors include her loving husband, Marc Roberts; children, Marcus Allen Roberts (Stephanie) and Tracy Gipson (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Marcus Gipson (Michaela), Sierra Roberts (Jeffrey), Dakota Roberts, Sheyenna Roberts, and Elounzia Gipson; great-grandchildren, Greyson Fike, Preston Fike, and one expected to arrive in February; brothers, Charles Hensley (Maria) and Boyd Hensley (Jessica); and sister, Mary Ann Hensley.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her brothers, Willie Hoskins, Jr. and Critt Hensley; and sister, Ruth Keller.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 pm and burial will follow in Mooresville Cemetery.
