Larry Joe Kays, Sr.

81, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 17, 2026, at Majestic Care of Carmel. Larry was born on May 12, 1945 in Morgan County, Indiana to the late Virgi (Griffith) and Paul Kays.

Larry worked for Yellow Freight for 32 years, before retiring. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Kays.

He is survived by his children Joe Kays (Nikki Kays), Stacey Henderson (Sean Henderson), granddaughter Emma Henderson and step daughter Alyssa Henderson.

Larry loved a good laugh, drink and food. Loved fishing, target shooting and cards. Family and friends will gather in celebration of Larry’s life privately. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and placed alongside his wife in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville, IN.
