Linda Grubb Boyd

Linda Grubb Boyd, age 52, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, following a courageous 33-day battle with cancer.

Born on August 23, 1973, Linda was a proud 1991 graduate of Mooresville High School. Driven by her passion for athletics and community, she went on to earn a degree in Sports Management from Trinity University. Linda’s professional journey reflected her vibrant energy and organization. She began her career working for the Chicago Bears before dedicating more than 20 exceptional years to the NCAA as an executive administrative assistant.

To know Linda was to love her. Described by all as selfless, fiercely loyal, and a true believer in people, she possessed a rare gift for seeing the unique talents in everyone she met. She was an absolute people magnet and an encourager who naturally drew a vast circle of lifelong friends. It is hard to think about Linda without thinking about her love for animals.  She was a dog lover through and through.  Above all her achievements, Linda’s absolute favorite “hobbies” were being a “wonder mom” to her daughters and a devoted wife.

Linda shared a beautiful life with her husband, Anthony W. Boyd, whom she married on September 6, 2009. Together, they are raising two cherished daughters, Maddison Boyd and McKenzie Boyd.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Warren Guyer and Wanda Brown Grubb.

Her legacy of love will be carried on by her husband and daughters; her brother, Gary (Tracey) Grubb; her grandmother, Doris Grubb; and a host of deeply loved nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.
