Robert Allen King

Robert Allen King, 84, passed from this life to his Heavenly home on July 26, 2026. He was born in Muncie, IN to Thomas O. and Elsie King. Bob attended Muncie schools and graduated in 1960 from Muncie Central High School. He completed a five-year training program with F. W. Woolworth Co. and managed several stores in Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. With his wife, Judy, he owned and operated the Christian Supply Centers in Muncie and Avon, IN for over 40 years. They spent winters in Naples, FL and traveled to Israel several times. Bob enjoyed playing golf and studying the Bible. He was a member of New Life Presbyterian Church near Yorktown, Indiana.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Judy Shadle King of 64 years; their daughter, Tammy Ooley (Scott) of Camby; son-in-law, Dan Miller; three grandchildren, Hannah Miller (Oscar), Jordan Ooley (Katelyn) and Carissa Shingleton (Jonathan); brother, Art King (Ruth), great grandson, Benjamin Ooley; sisters-in-law, Lillie King, Beverly Taylor, Letta Adams (Greg), and Cathy Rothenburger (Don).

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Shelly Ann King; daughter, Sheri Lynn Miller; brothers, Stanley, Tom, and Ray King; sister, Mary Jarnagin; as well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert and Doris Shadle.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, July 31st from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at New Life Presbyterian Church, 8000 West River Rd, Yorktown. Bob’s Life Celebration Service will follow beginning at 12:00 noon at the church. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Memory in Muncie. Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville has been entrusted with the arrangements.
