Gary K. Kutchback I, 80, of Mooresville, passed away on August 2, 2026, following a long health battle.
Born on March 14, 1946, in Greensburg, Indiana, Gary was the son of the late Raymond and Pauline (Davis) Kutchback. He graduated from Greensburg High School with the Class of 1964 and was immediately drafted into the United States Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Gary earned his degree from Indiana Business College.
Gary dedicated more than 25 years of his career to NAPA Balkamp, where he worked as Accounting Manager until retiring in 2004 due to declining health.
Gary had a lifelong passion for fishing and could often be found enjoying time on the water. He was also an enthusiastic collector, taking great pride in his collections of coins and baseball cards. Above all else, Gary was a devoted family man. His gentle, loving, and caring nature touched everyone who knew him, and nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family.
Gary is survived by his children; Keith Kutchback, Sabrena Martin (James), Cindy Smith (Ron), Luppie Aguire, Tammy Peters (Dennis), Sheila Watkins; grandchildren, Brandy Mann, Joseph Peters, Max Peters, Eddie Peters, Mistalynn Deffendall, Ruben Aguire, Michael Aguire, Matthew Kutchback, Neveah Kutchback, Nixin Kutchback, Alyssa Kachelmeyer (Luke), Marcus Robertson, Shelby Martin, Luke Martin; great-grandchildren, Roman, Tansley, Kristiana, Zayvin, Emma, Tobias, and Charlotte.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Taylor.
Gary’s legacy of kindness, quiet strength, fun-loving nature, and unwavering love for his family will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM with Military Honors performed.
