Will Cafus Cousins, 82, of Monrovia, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. He was born in Jackson, Mississippi on February 2, 1944 to the late Howard Frantz and Earline (Phillips) Cousins.
Will was a proud member of the United States Army, serving his country with honor before being honorably discharged on March 26, 1967. He found fulfillment in his work at the Chicago Transit Authority, where he did many tasks like painting bus signs. Additionally, Will often reminisced about his time working on the railroad.
On November 26, 1965, Will married the love of his life, Rose A. Parker. They built a beautiful life together and had four children. Rose left us on September 19, 2019, and the couple reunited when Will left this life.
A man of simple pleasures, Will found joy in fishing and hunting, with a fishing pole in one hand and music playing in the background. He was an avid sports fan, dedicated to cheering on his favorite teams, and he always looked forward to nights spent watching western movies.
He will be missed by many including his daughters, Erica Cousins (husband, Louis) of Monrovia and Cheryl Cousins of Chicago, IL; sons, William (wife, Theresa) Cousins of Chicago, IL and Ronald Cousins of Wisconsin; brother, Henry Cousins; niece, Chandra Catrice Byrd; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earline and Howard; brother, Howard Frantz; sister, Geraline Byrd; and nephews, Tracy Byrd and Roderick Byrd.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, October 10th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Will’s Life Celebration® Service will follow beginning at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Will’s earthly remains will be cremated following the services.
