Deborah D. Stapleton
78, of Mooresville, passed away on September 26, 2026, at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. Debbie was born on April 26, 1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Edward and Dorothy (Oliver) Soots.
Debbie was a feisty, yet kindhearted lady who loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Indianapolis as well as the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Mooresville. Her favorite pastime was watching games shows, especially Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Junior Soots, Charles Soots, Louise Ooley, Dorothy Lee Skaggs, and Eugene Soots.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Hubert Stapleton; daughters Diana Cornelous, Brenda Dyer; grandchildren Savannah Studer, Christopher Soots, Kristen Iacoviello, Stephen Dyer, Trenton Soots; great grandchildren Jacelyn Studer and Josie Iacoviello.
In keeping with her wishes, Debbie will be cremated and family and friends will gather to celebrate her life privately.
