Nancy Kay Foisy, 70, of Martinsville, passed unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, October 8, 2026. She was born in Beech Grove to the late Hershel Kimmel and Clarice (Staples) Kimmel on January 24, 1956.
She graduated from Mooresville High School and furthered her education at Martin University. Nancy worked for many years as a cosmetologist before retiring. She married James David Foisy on August 24, 1981.
Nancy’s life was deeply rooted in her love for Jesus. Her faith was central to her daily life, and she regularly studied her Bible and enjoyed sharing her faith with others.
Nancy will be missed by her family, including her husband, James Foisy of Greenwood; daughter, Rachel (husband, Jonathan) Stephenson of Greenwood; sister, Myra Lighter of Mooresville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Clarice Kimmel; and brothers, Tim Kimmel and Steve Kimmel.
Nancy has been laid to rest following a private committal service in White Lick Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.
