Alice M. “Maggie” Overpeck
86, of Mooresville, passed away on January 5, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Maggie was born on August 13, 1939 in Brazil, Indiana to the late Lloyd Biggs and Mildred Alice (Lear) Biggs.
Born with a kind, caring servant’s heart, Maggie worked as nurse for Kendrick Hospital for many years, retiring in 1990. Strong in her faith, Maggie was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Mooresville, where she was active in the Women’s Group, and Bible Study. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden, playing Bingo with a group at Miller’s, watching Hallmark Movies, the Food Network, and cheering on her Indianapolis Colts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max Overpeck, and a brother Billy Joe Biggs.
She is survived by her daughter Trela White (Donald); son Mark Overpeck; grandchildren Mason Abney, Madison Overpeck, Chandler White, as well as nieces Sharon Hunter, Trina ZZKay, and nephews Bob Drake and James Martin.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Maggie’s life on Friday, January 16th from 4-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with services Saturday, January 17th at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
