I will miss her spunky way ….another angel looking down on all who knew and loved her…You will be missed
My! WHAT a gal! Even tho i never lived in Mooresville, she always gave someone what for for something….the driving on 42 especially! Heaven has gained a ‘rabblerouseer’ (in a good way i say that) as her columns will surely be missed! My thoughts to her family and many friends she made!
I rmember the many years of us selling Tupperware, I was always amazed at how much she did. She had a lot of knowledge and loved sharing it with us. I know she will be missed by Many. Carol
Alice was one of a kind. She was always looking for a bargain and found many treasures for her miniature collection. She shared her knowledge to us in many, many ways. Will miss you Alice. Cindy McDaniel
Even though I never actually met or knew Alice she made me feel like a friend through her column. I was so excited this summer when I had an Alice sighting at the Monrovia festival building. So much so I had to tell my friends at work. Condolences to the family she will be missed by many.
My Dearest Patty, I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. It all seems too soon, but I know that you know, that God knows best. I am thinking and praying for you. I’m glad that you had that ‘special time’ with her! She knew you were there for her and you have that memory also. I love you girl! Hang in there! Terri Lipkins
When I moved to Goat Hollow Road in 1969, Alice was one of the first people to come to our home. Of course, having a Tupperware party was a great way to meet my new neighbors. (Alice’s suggestion, of course) It was a fun party and that started a friendship with Alice which has lasted through the years. She has been most supportive of our Delta Theta Tau Sorority and always advertised our Crafty Bear Fare faithfully. She continued that relationship which was inherited from her mother, Becky, who was a Patron of our sorority. I was sorry to know that she was moving from Romine Road. I still look down her drive out of a long time habit to check if her car had moved recently. She was a great contributing member of the Mooresville/Monrovia community and will be missed by many, especially me. Dee Simerl
Dear Little Alice’s family, You were blessed to have this small miracle in your lives. She was feisty, but honest and hard working. See marched to her own drumbeat, but loved being in the band. She was wise and taught me so much over her many years in Tupperware. I truly loved her. She will be missed. Sincerely, Peggy Vest
Sorry on the loss of your mother! Alice always came and talked to me at every Tupperware event we were at together. I will always treasure her kindness and advice!
Alice you keep your hands over me while you are in haven & I will hopefully see you aging. up in heaven!!! Miss you lot’s but will keep all of our memory’s close at hand.
I was so saddened to learn of Alice’s passing – what a shock! My husband and I met Alice one time at a craft show here in Martinsville, otherwise I didn’t know her personally. But I have saved most of her columns with recipes during the past 9 years since living in Martinsville and subscribing to the Reporter-Times and because of that felt I did know her personally. What an amazing little lady she was – and to think she drove up to the Museum of Miniatures on a monthly basis, says alot. I will cherish her memory and her news articles and the miniatures I bought from her. Kaye Dixon
My mother and I used to always have an annual yard sale and Alice was always there with bells on! She will be greatly missed by the Mooresville Community.
I just learned of Alice’s passing. I knew her for many years and enjoyed talking to her. Patty and I share the same birthdate – Alice always mentioned that! Thoughts are with her family. Mary McCarter Ostrum
I have enjoyed reading her column in the Mooresville Times. So sorry to hear that she has passed.
I have known Alice for many years. I’ve always enjoyed hearing her share stories or her wealth of knowledge. I’ve also had many, many, many Tupperware parties with her, (Who could resist this sweet lady when she would say, ‘ Aren’t you ready to have another Tupperware party?’ or’ There’s a hostess gift I just know you’d love!’ ?) You will be missed, Alice!
I knew Alice for many, many years and she was certainly a unique person. She treasured her family and her miniatures and sharing her ideas thru her writing. She will be missed by so many people. Rest in peace Alice.
