Barbara Ann Hansel, 96, of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Meadow Lakes Senior Living in Mooresville.  She was born in Brooklyn, Indiana on April 20, 1929 to Arthur Lewis Hillman and Mary Elizabeth (Tackett) Hillman.

She worked as an inspector at Best Lock for many years. Barbara was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord with all her heart. She cherished her family and found her greatest joy in time spent surrounded by them. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed traveling and reading, pursuits that reflected her curiosity and love of life.

She will be greatly missed by her host of loving family including her sons, Jack “Butch” (wife, Jacqueline) Hansel of Teague, Texas, Dennis “Joe” Hansel of Riverview, Florida, and Darrell “Jeff” (wife, Debi) Hansel of St. Joseph, Michigan; daughters, Rebecca “Becky” (husband, Rick) Worley of Mooresville and Donna “Jeannie” (husband, Bob) Gill of Poland; sister, Elizabeth Record; 21 grandchildren; 66 great grandchildren; and 36 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mary Hillman; son, Roland “Spunky” Hansel; daughters, Vicki Anderson and Jackie Wade; and 12 siblings.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, October 29th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Barbara’s Life Celebration® Service will be on Thursday, October 30th at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with an hour of visitation prior.  Burial will follow in Zions Hill Cemetery in Martinsville.
