Cathy J. Forrester
73, of Mooresville, passed away on December 22, 2025, at home. Cathy was born on December 2, 1952 in Martinsville, Indiana to the late James Hunt and Elsie Marie (Martin) Hunt.

Cathy owned and operated a licensed day care out of her home for many years, where she impacted many lives. Cathy enjoyed playing the piano and singing alongside her husband Jim as they wrote many songs of worship and performed them for many congregations over the years.

She was a member of the Free Spirit Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her strong faith, a great sense of humor, the love she had for her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jim Forrester; sisters Charlene Cooper, Margaret Johnson, and Becky Burns.

She is survived by her son Aaron (Rhonda) Forrester; daughter Kim (Steve) Bailey; grandchildren Brittany (Aaron) Atkins, Stephany (Andrew) Hilley, Nathan (Brooklyn) Forrester, as well as Cathy’s first great-great granddaughter Carly Jade, expected in January. She was also survived by her sisters Mary Lee Norman, Janie (David) Townsend, Brenda Moore, and brothers in law Delbert Cooper, Victor Johnson and Jack Burns.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Cathy’s life on Saturday, December 27th from 11am-1pm at the Spring Hill Christian Center, 12150 N Rooker Rd, Mooresville, IN 46158, with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm Saturday in the church. Burial will follow the services in Mooresville Cemetery.
