Charles Brian Kays, 65, of Mooresville, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, July 12, 2025.  Chuck, as many lovingly knew him, was born at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to the late Floyd Merle Kays and Betty Jean (Joyner) Kays on May 25, 1960.

He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1978 and then attended Vincennes University and Indiana State University.  He worked as a machinist for most of his life.  His favorite hobby was most certainly golfing.

He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends including his brother, Douglas Kays of Rochester; and nephews, Michael Kays, Stephen (wife, Katie) Kays, and Patrick (wife, Samantha) Kays.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Floyd and Betty Kays.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, July 19th from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Chuck’s Life Celebration® Service will follow beginning at 12:00 noon on Saturday at the funeral home.  He will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville alongside his parents following the service.
