Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Aileen Dykes and two brothers, Robert Jr. and Tommy Dykes.
Family and friends will gather for visitation in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville on Saturday, May 2, 2015, 2 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall. I have so many memories upon reflection. You were quick to laugh or make someone else laugh. You were a gentle loving soul (ok and a bit ornery too lol) to all who knew you. You had affectionate nick names for those close to you. I close my eyes and can hear you calling me dad. Forever I remain you ‘fats’. :kissing_heart: I smile and can see your beautiful deep belly laugh! :grinning: and now your resting peacefully at last, guardian angel in the heavens above. I love you much and miss you more.
Sharon, I just want to send prayers and my thoughts to you and your family, Charlie was such a sweetheart. All those years I worked at Echo Lake were a blessing when I could deal with nice families like yours. I know his smile and kindness will be missed. Please take care of you and Love you. You and family are in my prayers.
Daddy, you were the light of my heart, and the laughter in my smile. ‘Your words, a few kind words, and alot more time’, still ring in my mind every time I see your empty chair. You are gonna be forever a huge space in my heart! You have made such an impact on only my life, but my kids as well! I love you whole hearted! Miss you like crazy! JoJo
