Charles R. Hagee
92, of Mooresville passed away on May 7, 2025 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. Charles was born on November 13, 1932 in Mooresville, Indiana to the late Dale L. and Audrey G. (Rairden) Hagee.

A lifelong resident of Mooresville, Charles was a proud graduate of Mooresville High School where he was a standout for the Pioneer football team, playing both offense and defense. After high school, he attended and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy.

He then served in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. He was a nuclear weapons officer and served aboard many ships, including destroyers. He retired from the Navy after 20 years of service. He returned home to work as an industrial engineer for General Dynamics for 20 years, before retiring.

Additionally, he became a licensed engineer for the State of California as well as obtaining his HAM radio license. He was also a faithful member of the Friends Church in Mooresville throughout his life. He married the love of his life Barbara, on June 11, 1955, and would have celebrated 70 years of marriage next month. He will be remembered for his love for his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, his tenacity, and his love for the Navy (Go Navy! Beat Army!)

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert D. Hagee and a sister Julia A. Hagee Lansberry.

He is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Barbara (Stembel) Hagee, sons Robert Hagee (Luanne), Bryan Hagee (Laura Lundberg), grandchildren Charles, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Catherine, Eric, Ian, great grandchildren Isabelle, Rosalie, Irvin, Eleanor, and Jackson, as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate and honor Charles’ life on Thursday May 15th from 4-7pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16th at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, with military honors.
