Charles Richard "Rick" Phillips

Charles Richard “Rick” Phillips, 73, Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2017. Rick was born September 10, 1943, in Indianapolis, to the late Jesse and Betty (Harris) Phillips.
He graduated from Washington High School in 1961. Rick retired from Link Belt after 38 years and then went on to work for Diamond Chain, officially retiring in 2005. He was an avid golfer, IU Basketball fan, and was also known as a yard guru.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathy (Hazelwood) Phillips; daughters, Kimberly (Troy) Wright, Tracie (Scott) Antic; four grandchildren; two great granddaughters; one brother, James D. Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Phillips.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 3, 2017. Rev. Jeff Faull will officiate, and burial will be in White Lick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Dear Kathy, So sorry about Rick. I dont remember him in high school, but he was my boss for awhile at Link Belt. It was a joy working for him. We always teased him bout his perfect haircuts. I’m sure he will be truly missed. Love & prayers, Barb Corey Roseman ’63.
