Clay W. Morrison

Clay W. Morrison, 89, Mooresville, died peacefully at home July 21, 2014. Mr. Morrison was born June 3, 1925, in Ohio County, Kentucky, to the late George Manford and Minnie (Jarvis) Morrison.
He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Morrison was employed as a machinist for General Motors for 36 years, retiring in 1987. He had been a member of the Mooresville Friends Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Morrison in 2010, and also by his two brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Hicks (Ken); two grandchildren, Katherine Asbell (Phillip) and Todd Hicks (Michelle); eight great grandchildren: Alex, Andrew, Maggie, Donovan, Mary Katherine, Sarah, Quinn Yu and Henry.
The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2014, in the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Pastor Sue Whitesel will officiate the service, and burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. So sorry, Clay was such a great laid back guy. I don’t think he ever raised his voice. You are all so blessed to have loved him all those years. God Bless. Cindy Norton
