Clifton Lee
June 6, 1960 ~ June 11, 2016
Clifton Lee, 56, Martinsville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on June 11, 2016. Mr. Lee was born June 6, 1960, in Mooresville, to the late Bill Lee and Virginia Lynn Byrd.
He attended Mooresville High School and enjoyed a long career as a tow truck driver. Cliff owned and operated Cliff's Wrecker Service and worked for Hicks Wrecker Service, Martins Wrecker Service and Bragdon's Post Road Garage. Always involved in automotive service, he also worked at C&D Automotive for a number of years. Cliff served as the Town Marshall of Bethany for a period of time. He enjoyed western movies, always valued a hard day's work, and loved to keep track of the local happenings on his scanner. Above all, Cliff was strongly devoted to his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy, Charlie, and Donnie Lee.
Survivors include one son, James Lee (Courtney) of Brooklyn; two daughters, Karri Lee of Martinsville and Brandy Lee of Indianapolis; brother, Wayne Lee of Mooresville; sister, Kathy Corbin of Mooresville; six grandchildren; Michael, Taylor, Xavier (Troy), James Jr., Alexis and Dallas.
Friends and family will gather on Saturday, June 18, 2016, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. We may not have always seen eye to eye, but I have some really good memories of Cliff and the kid’s, when the kid’s were young. I send my love and prayers to the kid’s and there families
Jimmy, brandy and carry… may you find strength in each other. Jimmy you were one of my rocks when my parents passed. I hope you know how much I love you. You and your sister cling together and build a pond you love. You father would want you all to grow strong together and remember all the good memories. Rip cliff.. rest easy. You have some really good company up there.
