Connie Sue Achey, 62, of Danville, passed away at home on Friday, September 19, 2025. The daughter of Donald Irvin and Wanda (Sizemore) Hood, she was born in Seymour on December 7, 1962. Connie attended Mooresville schools and was a homemaker most of her life. She briefly worked as a CNA and thoroughly enjoyed caring for the residents.
Connie attended Faith Baptist Church in Danville. In her free time, she loved reading, listening to country music, quilting, and working on crossword puzzles. Most importantly, Connie’s biggest blessing was her grandchildren. Her kind and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children, Chris Harmon, Brandon Irvin, and Contessa Irvin; mother, Wanda Hood; twin sister, Mary Lou Duty; sisters, Rebecca Ford and Treena Hackleman (Bob); brother, Tim Irvin (Jennifer); grandchildren, Elijah, Madison, Jasmine, Jenna, Jaylen, Michael, Savannah, Addison, Logan, and Lilliana; great-grandchildren, Cohen and Ellie Mae; and several extended family members.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Donald Irvin; great-granddaughter, Emersyn Bogue; and niece, Alexis Nicole Scott.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the funeral home, with an hour of visiting prior to the start of the service. Burial in White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville will follow the service.

Miss you so much aunt Connie it’s hard down here without you. I miss going over to Jessica’s and seeing you and nana I’m going to forever remember you and what you stood for and the last thing you told me was “I love you Gabe don’t ever forget that” I promise you aunt Connie I won’t forget. I love and miss you so much can’t wait till I see you again and yes your gonna get your big hug that you got every time I saw you.
