Dana Lee Crafton

Dana Lee Crafton, 67, of Mooresville, left this life on Monday, August 4, 2025 at the Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis with family at her side.  She was born on July 17, 1958 in Greencastle to the late Horace Lee Crafton and Margaret Charlene (Plummer) Crafton.

She graduated from Mooresville High School.  She worked for Belkin as a manager for the forklift drivers.

A private person, she typically preferred the company of animals over people.  She was especially fond of Dobermans.  She loved spending time riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle. One of her favorite quiet places was the lawnmower while mowing her lawn.  She enjoyed mowing so much, she continued to mow through her cancer and other illnesses.  In mother nature, she enjoyed the beauty around her, felt at peace, and was able to relax.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family including her son, Jasup (wife, Amanda) Smith of Mooresville; sister, Jayne (husband, Rick) Stafford of Mooresville; sister-in-law, Mariruth Crafton of Mooresville; and grandchildren, Alexis Smith of Mooresville and Rylan Smith of Mooresville

Dana was preceded in death by her father and mother, Horace and Margaret Crafton; and brother, Michael Crafton.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, August 11^th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.  Dana’s Life Celebration® Service will follow beginning at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.  In keeping with her wishes, Dana’s earthly remains have been cremated.
