Danny Rapp, 63, Cloverdale, died June 13, 2013. Mr. Rapp was born March 16, 1950, in Paxton, Illinois, to the late Herschel and Melinda (Henson) Rapp.

Danny graduated from Olney Central College and proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He most recently worked in accounting at the Holiday Inn, Cloverdale. He also made homemade brooms for many years. An avid outdoorsman, Danny enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will missed by a loving family.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Billie Jean Rapp.

Survivors include his daughters, Jeri Scott (Bob) of Mooresville and Erica Rapp-Hoerbert (Adam) of Camby; brothers, Eugene and Melvin Rapp, both of Illinois; one granddaughter, Makayla Scott.

Services will be held privately. Inurnment will take place in Brush Creek Cemetery, Zenith, Illinois.   1. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of your loss. Your loved one was a very kind and nice renter for us. Note : we still have his personal items from the upstairs of the rental house.

  2. Oh my I can’t express enough how sorry I am for your loss. Danny was a great man. I worked with him at Super 8 Motel in Cloverdale, IN. I then hired him to work for me at the Holiday Inn Express in Cloverdale, IN. He was a very hard worker, and took his job seriously. He was a friend to many. He would talk of his life in a way that you didn’t want him to stop. He would tell of his girls and you could see the pride in his face, military days, broom making days, past employment, old movies, his dogs, history, visiting cemeteries and many other interesting ventures.
