Debra Lynn Rike
67, of Martinsville, passed away on December 18, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. Debra was born on April 26, 1954 in Martinsville, Indiana to the late Herschel Poore and Myrna (Whitesell) Poore.

A lifelong Morgan County resident, she was a graduate of Martinsville High School. She worked in customer service for Wal-Mart for 10 years and most recently at Kroger’s in Martinsville. She was a loving, caring and kind person, who would do anything to help anyone. When her kids were growing up the Rike house was the neighborhood gathering place and everyone knew her as Mom.

Additionally, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, crocheting blankets for family members and going to the casino to try her luck at slots with her Mom and her Aunts. She was a proud wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by a loving family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Roger Rike; children Tami Conly, Robbie Rike, Robin Hicks, Carrie Cochran; sister Bobbi Carpenter; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Debra’s life on Tuesday, December 28th from 4 to 6pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with services beginning at 6pm Tuesday in the funeral home.

  1. My heart goes out to the Rike family. They have always been like family to me. I can’t even imagine what they are feeling right now. Debbie was an amazing lady, like a mom. When we were younger we spent every weekend at the house. It was our safe place. Even with all of our stupidity, she loved us. She let us know about it too! Lol. Throughout life every time I would see her, it was like no time had passed. It was all smiles and hugs and questions about our lives. Roger, Tami, Robin, Carrie, and Robbie I am here if you ever need anything. I love you guys! Debbie you will truly be missed, love you! R.I.H.
