Deidra Nicole Conner
January 14, 1985 ~ September 15, 2016
Deidra Nicole Conner, 31, Mooresville, passed away September 15, 2016. Deidra was born January 14, 1985, in Beech Grove, to the late Donald Conner and Christie (Kriese) Conner, who survives.
A brave and strong person, Deidra battled many health issues during her 31 years, including a heart transplant at 16. She attended Neil Armstrong Elementary, Paul Hadley Middle School and graduated from Mooresville High School in 2004. She worked at the airport for a period of time, but really enjoyed working at a local daycare. Deidra loved children, was an accomplished photographer, swimming in the lake on the family property, and riding around on the golf cart. She had a great sense of humor, and despite all of her own challenges, she was a master at making other people feel better. Although Deidra’s 31 years were all too brief, she leaves a lasting impact on her loving family and many friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandfather, Ronald Conner.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Christie Conner and David Sexton of Mooresville; brother, Christopher Davis of Plainfield; sisters, Ashley Davis of Mooresville and Abby Conner of Indianapolis; maternal grandparents, Jacquelyn and Steven Hunt of Mooresville; paternal grandmothers, Linda Conner of Indianapolis and Pat Wolf of Florida; boyfriend, Matt Lessman; a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Deidra Conner on Monday, September 19, 2016, 4 to 8 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
