Dianna Kay Parrott

June 29, 1943 ~ July 12, 2025

Born in: Bloomington, Indiana
Resided in: Mooresville, Indiana

Dianna Kay Parrott, 82, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, at the Franciscan Hospice House surrounded by family. She was born in Bloomington on June 29, 1943, to the late James and June (Wood) Sargent. Dianna graduated from Bloomington High School in the class of 1961.

She stayed home to raise her three children before becoming a bookkeeper for Citizens Bank in Mooresville. Dianna was employed for 30 years, retiring in 2009. She was a longtime member of Mooresville First United Methodist Church.

Dianna was content with the simpler things in life, such as reading Danielle Steel novels, watching the QVC channel, and going to the movie theatre. Passed down from her father, Dianna took pride in taking care of her lawn and flower gardens. Most of all, she was happiest when spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dianna is preceded in death by her parents, James and June Sargent.

She will be missed by those closest to her, including her son, Jim Parrott; daughters, Kim Wells (Tom) and Kristin Parrott; grandchildren, Kourtney Turley (Josh), Zachary Stone, and Kassady Matthews (Justin); and great-grandchildren, Ophelia and Lane.

In honoring Dianna’s wishes, her earthly remains will be cremated, and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
