Donald Record, 64, of Martinsville, passed away at home on December 30, 2017. Donald was born December 3, 1953 to Robert M., who preceded him in death, and Elizabeth "Liz" I. (Hillman) Record, who survives.

Donald proudly served in the United States Army and in the Marine Corp. He worked for more than 28 years in civil service for the Naval Weapons Service. Donald was a member of the Goose Creek (South Carolina) Masonic Lodge #401, Murat Shrine, and Scottish Rite. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and many sports but his favorite was NASCAR. Donald is going to be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

In addition to his father, Donald was preceded in death to two brothers, Robert Record and Alan Record; and a grandson Michael Carey Record.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda Kay (Ward) Record; Son, Donald Owen Record, Jr.; Daughters, Donna (Tim) Neary and Shandra (TJ Franklin) Record; Sister, Darlene (Ron) Long; brothers, Howard Record and William “Bill” (Nicole) Record; 11 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate and honor the life of Donald Record on Friday, January 5, 2018, 4 to 8 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. The service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Nebo Memorial Park.
