  1. Dr Halstead initially saw me to relieve lower back pain. When he learned I carried the Hepatitis C virus he carefully studied and researched how he could help me. Together we decided to initiate Vitamin C infusion therapy. This treatment brought my viral load down to a range where conventional therapy might work! Fourth-eight weeks later I had totally cleared Hepatitis C! God blessed this dedicated Physicisn who cared so much.

  4. Dear Family of Dr. Halstead,
We are very, very saddened to learn of Dr. Halstead’s passing. He helped my husband and I very much in learning of our food intolerances and allergies. We have been able to live much better lives due to his help in diagnosing them via blood tests and listening to us regarding our symptoms. He was a very smart, learned man. We profited much from being his patients. We liked his professionalism and his humor. We will miss him very much. So much practical wisdom and knowledge went with him. We are forever grateful for his help in our health. Sincerely, Dr. and Mrs. D. A. Tony & Suzanne Twist, Carmel, IN.

  5. Such a nice man . he was our neighbor . I would call him Dr. but he would tell me to just call him by his name . A guy I worked with at Chevy said he was the best Dr. If he would
see me out he would always wave . I had a Dr at Westview Hospital tell me years ago what a great Dr & and good friend he was .

  6. We are deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Rick’s passing. Comforted to know that he is with Jesus, his Savior.
So grateful for his exceptional gifts and dedication to his “true calling”. Our entire family benefited greatly from his expert knowledge, treatments, encouraging Scripture verses, for 40 years. Praying that our Heavenly Father grants peace, comfort, and strength in the days ahead, as you live life without this very dear and wonderful man. Dr. Rick Halstead leaves a void that no one else can fill. Praise God for His promise of a glorious Heavenly Reunion.

    Psalm 116:15
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”

  7. I met Dr. Rick when he was working with Dr. Miller in Zionsville in 1978. Injured on the job, the surgeons at St. Vincent wanted to do multiple procedures on me. When they left the exam room to admit me, they made a huge mistake… they left my clothes in the room with me! I immediately fled to Dr. Rick and Millers office where they spent the next year using cranial manipulation and other therapies on me. When I had to be cleared by the St. Vincent’s surgeons so I could return to work, they were dumbfounded that my injuries had healed completely yet they were unable to find any surgical scars on me! They just did not want to accept that Dr. Rick was really that good!
Subsequently, he worked on everyone of my newborn children when they were just a few days old. He was truly a special person and miracle working Doctor! My family all loved him and he always made us feel loved. We will miss him, but will forever hold him close in our hearts and memories!
    Dennis Lee and family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all those fortunate enough to know him. An incredibly special person! 🙏

  8. I am so very saddened to read the passing of Dr.Halstead. I have tried to find him several times to tell him how grateful I was to have him for a physician. He was an amazing physician and you could tell he was very much about helping his patients. I am sorry that I didn’t share this information with him. May this man who helped so many people, rest in peace. Thank-you, I will always remember and be grateful for Dr. Halstead.

  9. My Heart is deeply saddened learning of Dr. Halstead’s passing. I first met Dr. Halstead by a referral from my boss, Dr. Timothy Kleman Do, he treated me after an auto accident, and the treatment was superb! Warm moist heat for deep tissue repair, he always knew exactly what to do. He’s incredible wisdom on osteopathic medicine, trating the whole body as one:was like I never knew. I CALLED him A Godsend! He had special gifts and talents only an angel could have. The proof was during an office visit, I will never forget when I didn’t write down headaches on the form for complaints. He picked up the clipboard and said, “I see here you don’t mention your headache.” Your hurting right here, while touching the exact spot on my temple! I was blown away!! How else could he have know to diagnosis, a pain that only I felt, but not wrote down, or spoke of! That made a believer of me on his gifts. We all truly will be missing his laughter and healing touch! He has made such a wonderful impact on my life, and my family. May God bless his family and his legacy for future physicians. He will forever remain my favorite Dr. In the world!

  10. So sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Halstead. My sister was told that in 5 years she’d be in a wheelchair a few years back. She went to Westview Hospital on Guion Rd and he and a Dr. Miller treated her. I’m not sure what they done but she’s 77 now and she has no problems now. My sister & her husband became friends with him and my sister loved to pick on him. He came into the hospital room one night and he told her the nurses told him she hadn’t been eating & she probably only weighed 96 pounds soaking weight. She said I’m not eating this hospital food so he said if I run and get you something would you eat? She said she’d try so he said “What do you want”? I’m not sure if he’d ever had a White Castle hamburger before but when he asked her what she wanted she replied 4 hamburgers, he kind of looked at her strange. When he came back to give her the food he told her “don’t you ever ask me to get you those ever again, they stunk my Corvett up”. He was always the most caring doctor I ever met & my brother-in-law sometimes had to work late and he told him, don’t worry I’ll watch over her. He was always such a gentleman and a very caring doctor. My sister saw him in Zionsville for awhile then she saw him in Mooresville once then she lost track of him. I pray that he has found peace and God helps all those he left with their grieving. It’s sad to lose anyone anytime but to find a doctor that treated you like family and wouldn’t give up until he had an answer is hard to take. I don’t think I ever met another doctor like him. R.I.P. Dr. Halstead, hope you are flying high with the Angels and getting the notoriety up in Heaven that you so deserve.
