Georgia Kaye Shaw

August 16, 1947 ~ April 29, 2024
Georgia Kaye Shaw, 76, of Mooresville, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, April 29, 2024, while in the care of Miller’s Merry Manor in Mooresville. She was born in Spencer, Iowa to the late George Walter Livingston and Audrey Delores (Craig) Livingston on August 16, 1947.
She graduated from Banning High School in Wilmington, California. She worked for a short period for the clerk’s office in Los Angeles. At the age of 20 years old, Georgia caught the eye of Navyman, Gary Hodson Shaw, and the two were united in marriage January 20, 1968. The couple then moved to Indiana to be closer to family.
Georgia’s caring, supportive, and loyal nature made her a natural mother and wife. She relished the time spent with her family and truly enjoyed caring for them. She enjoyed cross stitching and needlework. She also enjoyed watching sports.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends including her husband, Gary Shaw of Mooresville; son, Scott (wife, Amy) Shaw of Fishers; daughter, Cindy Austin of Decatur, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Austin, Sean Austin, and Brendon Austin; and great grandchildren, Brayden, Kloie, and Bailey.
Mrs. Shaw’s earthly remains have been cremated and there are no public services scheduled. Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Gary & family, so sorry to hear of Georgia’s passing. Thoughts and prayers to you all
Gary and family- so sorry to hear about Georgia. I enjoyed visiting in California and hearing her stories. She was kind enough to send Grandma Craig’s necklace to for my daughter’s wedding. I very much appreciated that – hugs to all of you!
I’m so sorry to hear this… Georgia was one of the California Craig cousins, and we spent a lot of time together when very young. Condolences to Gary, and family.
Love to you all…
My heart is so sad with the passing of this wonderful woman. Prayers to Gary and her family. Lots and lots of love, Kevin, Kristy and “her boys” Kyle, Kody and River
I am one of Georgia’s Iowa Ahrens cousins. Her Grandma Craig was my mother’s sister. Before the Livingstons moved to California, our families spent a lot of time together, but I lost touch after that. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I’m sure she will be missed. Please accept my condolences.
