Glenn L. Thompson

Glenn L. Thompson, 81, of Danville, passed away on December 26, 2024. He was born in Seco, Kentucky on March 16, 1943, to the late Harley and Beatrice (Smith) Thompson. Glenn married Janet Booher on May 8, 1965, and she survives.
Glenn was a Teamsters Union Local 135 truck driver for over 30 years before his retirement in 2005.
In his free time, Glenn liked being outdoors. He especially enjoyed camping, boating, mowing the lawn, and working in the yard. From butter pecan to banana splits, Glenn always had a taste for ice cream. Above all, Glenn loved spending time with his family. His spunk and wittiness will be sorely missed.
In addition to his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by his brother, Harold Thompson.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Janet Thompson of Danville; sons, Michael Thompson (Beverly) of Coatesville and Christopher Thompson (Shirley Marine) of Mooresville; daughters, Teri Cobb (Bob) of Indianapolis and Robin Coffey of Reelsville; sister, Loretta Holbrook of Greenfield; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Glenn’s earthly remains will be cremated following the service and inurnment will take place at Washington Park North at a later date.
