One of my earliest memories of Harold was as a young youth leader serving my very first church — First UMC Mooresville. I had decided that I wanted to build some games for the youth group. Harold invited me to come over and let me use his Woodsmith. I think I drooled all over myself. He helped me with all that I needed to do. I learned very quickly that that was Harold’s way. Since that first encounter, I have deeply respected and admired him. His presence will be missed, but the enrichment he gave my life will never be forgotten. The peace He promised is yours, Harold. Rest now in His eternal presence.
Harold has been a family friend of the Charles Gunnell family for years. Fixed all of our tv’s and was a very kind man, with a very gentle soul. He will be sadly missed but heaven sure gained a very special angel!! The Gunnell family

Dear Thelma and Family, We were heartbroken to hear of Harold passing and we’re in Florida so we cannot be there to tell you how much we love and will miss him. He is just one of the best people I have ever known, or ever will. They just don’t make ’em like him anymore! Our thoughts and prayers will be with you as you make the transition to life without him. May he rest in well deserved peace and bliss. Sincerely, David and Peggy Shirar
A good man , great Father and Husband. Glad to call him a friend. It was an Honor to know him. Will be missed Love to the family !!
I remember Harold Weddle as The Amazing Fix It Man, whenever anything broke Mom would call ‘Weddle’ as we called him, once when he came to the house to repair something, my Sister Traci asked him to Please fix her Bicycle that she had wrecked & the chain had come off, and like always Mom told her to leave him alone, he was busy. As soon as he had finished his appliance repair he said where is your bicycle? He fixed it too! He was a Wonderful Caring Man.
A great guy in all ways. Really enjoyed him.. Bob & Diane Hamm
Whenever Bob and I visited Mooresville, Harold was always one of the first to come see us. We always enjoyed the Mooresville class of 1953 reunions. Especially the 50th hosted by Harold and Thelma! Our thoughts and prayers are with Thelma and the Weddle family. – Anne Hagee
I will always remember Harold for his unconditional love. He was definitely a man who lived up to the saying ‘Love the sinner, hate the sin.’ No matter where you were in life, Harold loved you…even in your darkest hours he would show his love and God’s love through his smiles and hugs. He never judged…only loved. My family was not his blood relatives, but he made us all feel like family. My father worked for him and Thelma at their shop. From day one, he and Thelma loved us like family. They were there for each of us through many trials and hardships but also in many happy times, too. You will be deeply missed, Harold. Thelma, we love you and are praying for you.
Doug & Tonya, I’m very so for your loss of a wonderful man. I remember us being neighbors on Clay St. and you family gatherings in the back yard there, lots of fun & laughter!! Much Love to You and your Mom and Family!!! My Love to You Each!!!
