Herbert Williams

Herbert Williams, 85, Danville, died June 8, 2014. Mr. Williams was born October 15, 1928, in Alfordsville, to the late Walter Henry and Flora Alice (Doyle) Williams.

He graduated from Alfordsville High School and proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Williams worked for many years in plant security for the Allison Division of General Motors. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Virgil “Pat”, Harold, and Forest Williams; sister, Ruth Harris.

Survivors include one brother, Carl Williams of Florida and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in the Alfordsville Christian Church, with calling there from 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Alfordsville Cemetery.
