Janice Ann (Strawder) Kinnett, 88, Mooresville, went home to Jesus on July 21, 2025. Mrs. Kinnett was born February 5, 1937, in Indianapolis, to the late Frank R. and Evelyn Ruth (Marshall) Strawder. She married Allan Herbert Kinnett on September 16, 1955, and he survives.
Jan moved to Camby with her family at the age of 10 and graduated from Mooresville High School in 1955. She was a 50-year member of Friendswood Baptist Church and most recently was a faithful member of Gasburg Baptist Church. Jan led a weekly Tuesday morning Bible study for women for 48 years. Her faith in the Lord was inspiring and a true testament to where she is currently rejoicing. Jan was an avid gardener and loved to grow all kinds of flowers. Her birds played a close second to flowers. Jan enjoyed watching the birds and made sure the feeders were always full. Above all, she was strongly devoted to her family who will all remember her matriarchal ways.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Jones; brothers Steve Strawder and Jerry Strawder.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Allan Kinnett; daughters, Carol (Lowell) Jones and Cathy (Chuck Trotter) Kinnett; sister, Diane Horvath; grandchildren, Paul, Craig, Christopher, Leslie, and Kelli; great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Cole, Ella, Hannah, Olyvia, Natalie, Laylah, Beckett, Uriah, Delaney, Emmett, and Everleigh.
