Guestbook

  1. I love you, dearly, Grandma! You will be missed greatly! You and Grandpa were an amazing example of a Godly union between two wonderful people. May your family find peace in knowing that you are dancing with Jesus now…in no pain. No more suffering. No more needles. No more medicine. You are now an angel, and we will see you again one day. Please watch over Grandpa until he joins you in Heaven!! ߒ•

  2. I remember Janice from my days at the old Grace Church, she was always a wonderful and kindchristian woman. No doubt she is now an angel of the Lord.

  3. To my wonderful Mother-In-Law. I will never forget when you, Grandma Cottongim and I went shopping for my wedding dress and I said all this shopping is making me hungry and grandma pulled out a banana from her purse. You and I laughed so hard that the saleslady thought something had happened. I Love You and I am so grateful to Our Lord for the example you have set as a life-long companion for Dad. You gave me sound advice every time and even though I might have seemed rebellious in the beginning, I have used ALL of it at one time or another during these past 22 years. When you and Dad were my patients after the accident at Methodist (during nursing school), I felt so honored to be able to care for you. It was amazing how you were the injured one and yet you continued to minister to me; putting all my worries to rest. I have had the privilege to care for you again these last couple of weeks and the memories; Lord willing will stay with me always. We have shared many things that others do not get a chance to do as mother and daughter- in-law. I can also say another thing that I love about you is your peacefulness, you never complained not even once about pain or anything ; minus Dad not wearing his hearing aids (which I have picked up where you left off). You are priceless to me and I do count it all as joy to have known you and Loved you.

  4. O God of grace and glory, we remember before you our sister Janice. We thank you for giving her to us, her family and friends, to know and to love as a companion on our earthly pilgrimage. In your boundless compassion, console us who mourn. Give us faith to see in death the gate of eternal life, so that in quiet confidence we may continue our course on earth, until, by your call, we are reunited with those who have gone before; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

  5. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.” (Psalm 116:15 NIV)
I am saddened, and yet, rejoicing that Janice is now experiencing her eternal reward in Heaven! In the 14 years that Janice and I worked together at Mooresville Christian, I saw time and time again, Janice noticing the needs of others and sharing encouragement, a listening ear, prayer and any practical help needed. It was quite evident to all that Janice cared, and definitely had the gift of serving.
As she served, she sought no recognition and even felt awkward to being recognized because she truly saw giving of herself as just a “small way” of showing Jesus’ love. Not only was I impressed by how she reached out to others, but, also, with her genuine love for her family. She was so proud of Dale, Mark, and David and her extended family, and spoke of them often sharing of their achievements and of their fine traits.
Janice served faithfully, and conscientiously, thinking not of the hours it would take, but eyeing the results. She was such an encouragement to me, personally. I learned so much from Janice.
The Kingdom of God benefited by Janice being Janice. Many people have benefited by knowing Janice–including me.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Janice’s family.

  6. A long-time friend, my faithful secretary during the first two years of Mooresville Christian Academy and also the “glue” that helped hold the school together for many years! Thanks so much! We have many fond memories and will miss you. But we don’t wish you back, because we know you are free and happy with your Saviour! We love you. Larry and Marge Eicher

  7. Mrs. Singer was an intricate woven part of our lives. She served as the secretary at Mooresville Christian School where our daughters attended and sweetly oversaw the day to day needs to help in their education.
Once Janice retired from Mooresville Christian School we were blessed to have her as the secretary to our starting business – Polley’s Perfect Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning. She came up with the accounting and record system we still incorporate today. Jim was the brawn and Janice was the brains in the infancy of Jim’s dream of business ownership. We are forever grateful to her.
Above all, Janice wore her love for Christ as her skin. She was a walking, breathing example of kindness, meekness, working as to God and not as unto man, thoughtfulness and compassion. Two truths we always knew about her was her love for Jesus and her love for Dale.
Our sincere sympathy and thoughts go out to her family,
    Jim and Shirley Polley

  8. So sorry to hear about Janice’s passing. She was a wonderful lady. I always enjoyed seeing her. My deepest sympathies to her family
