  3. What a privilege to have known Jimmie Shrake. I met Jimmie thru Stoops Buick and we became good friends. I was, kind of, his car-answer man for a long time. He and Gladys were very kind people. I spoke with him many times about the Honor Flight but each time he declined the trip saying he did not merit going because he did not feel deserve the honor. He said, let some other war hero go instead. That was just how he was and that made him a hero in my mind. To Doug, my neighbor, my heartfelt sympathy. I share your loss and hold dear the memory of your parents. RIP Jimmie Shrake.

  4. I had been dating Amy for 7 months before I met Jim and Gladys. They were always so kind, and treated me like family from day one. They have always been another set of grandparents to me. My deepest condolences to Doug, Jama, my beautiful wife Amy, and the entire Shrake family!
