  1. The picture posted here of Joan is how I will always remember her, smiling. She was a very sweet lady and talented in so many ways. I always marveled at the many different things she could do, her talents seemed endless. I will forever remember the wonderful times we have spent together at Matt & Rebecca’s during the holidays and at the girls sporting events. Joan, you will forever be missed, but our loss is heaven’s gain. Our condolences to Matt, Rebecca, Katelyn & Holly for your loss, Kevin & Lisa

  2. I worked with Joan for many years. I loved working with her and being a dear friend that I will never forget. She was funny, caring, loving and you always knew where you stood with Joan. A real true friend who would stick by you through thick and thin. Joan loved her family always talking about her grandchildren and son and daughter-in-law as well as her friends. She was full of life, I couldn’t be around her without laughing or just having fun. As her supervisor for some time, I always knew I could count on Joan. Sometimes she would love to give me a hard time but that was OK because I knew she would always come through. She was one of my best friends and I am so grateful and blessed to have had her in my life. She taught me so much I can’t begin to explain what she meant to me. I know she is in Heaven and I am praying for her family because I know for me, life won’t be the same without this beautiful lady.. Heaven has a wonderful angel to be along side many other angels and she will always be there for her family that I know. Rest in Peace my dear friend. Love you always and forever, you’ll be in my heart.

  3. Joan was one of my beloved cousins. I will always remember her with a positive outlook and full of laughter. She endured much in her earlier life with the loss of her beloved husband David so early in their marriage, and later the auto accident that injured her leg, and now the end of her earthly life so soon after retirement. She will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew her. We will long remember the family reunion at Branson, Missouri in 2008 seeing Joan with her eternal smile. Our prayers go out to Matt and family along with Janet, Judy, and Jerry. Cousin Bill Dossett & wife Donna

  4. I worked with Joan at National Insurance Association and then GoAmerica before she went to State Auto. I was glad to be able to get to know her and her love for her family. She was always making something beautiful for her grandchildren. I’m so very sorry to hear of her passing and take great comfort knowing she is in Heaven. My thoughts and prayers go out to her dear family and friends. May God pour out His blessings upon you during this most difficult time.

  6. Mike and I will miss Joan not only being a cousin she was a very close friend to us. We had grown to love her for being a very wonderful person and having a wonderful attitude in her life, even through a lot of adversity. As others said her smile and outlook on life was very contagious. We will always remember the wonderful time we had together at the ‘Cousins Reunion’ in Branson, Missouri. She will be missed more than she would ever imagine. Our love and prayers go out to Matthew and his family. I know it will be a void in their lives. She was looking forward to being in her new home with them but is in a new home in heaven with David. I know her family and friends will miss her also. Lots of Love, Pat and Mike

  7. Sad to hear of Joan’s passing. We served together years ago in leadership ministering to singles. I so admired her leadership skills, kindness, and love and devotion to Christ. Our loss is heaven’s gain.

  8. I’m very saddened by the loss of our friend. We enjoyed her company at the Y, My deepest sympathy to Janet, Kathleen, Bethany and Britney and all the family, I will miss you Joan, rest in peace. Trudie O’Brien and your Pool buddies

  9. The loss of one so dear and wonderful as Joan is a difficult time for all of her friends and especially her family. But in the midst of all the sorrow we undergo on this earth is the uplifting joy of knowing she is now in the hands of the Lord. Joann and I extend our deepest sympathy, our prayers and our love to Mathew and the rest of the family. Jim and Joann Dossett
