John R. Biddinger

86, of Mooresville, a retired Indianapolis area trucking and moving company executive and computer business owner, passed away on March 6, 2025 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville.

Born on February 10, 1939, he was the son of Clyde M. and Mary Josephine (Hill) Biddinger. His family lived in Franklin until 1953, then briefly resided in Columbus, where he completed his freshman and sophomore years of high school. After the family moved to Terre Haute, Biddinger attended Wiley High School, from which he graduated in 1957. He later attended Indiana State University, in Terre Haute, and earned an associate degree from Indiana Purdue University in Indianapolis (IUPUI).

Biddinger worked for Roots Dry Goods Store and Hamilton Harris Company in Terre Haute before serving three years in the U.S. Army, 1961-1964. After his discharge, he came back to Indianapolis, where he worked for Mason Dixon Trucking, Mayflower Moving and Storage, for which he was a supervisor and transportation manager, and IBM Life Pro. He then operated his own business, Computer Habitat, until he retired in 2004.

He was a member of the Southport Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite in Indianapolis for more than 50 years.

He and his wife, Nadeen (Hoppes) Williams, resided in Bridgemor Village in Mooresville. She died at The Springs on December 29, 2017. Biddinger’s parents and his two half brothers, Robert W. Biddinger of Cincinnati and Clyde M. Biddinger of Syosset, Long Island, N.Y., also preceded him in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Christina Ann (Biddinger) Baker of Indianapolis, wife of Steve Baker; a son, Derek Scott Biddinger, of Indianapolis; grandchildren Nik Mizer, D.J. Biddinger, Kyra Biddinger, Matthew Baker, as well as many great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 12^th at 4:00pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 12^th from 2:00pm- 4:00pm at the funeral home.
