Joseph B. "Skip" Reeves

Joseph B. “Skip” Reeves, 81, Mooresville and Leesburg, Florida, passed away July 27, 2018. Mr. Reeves was born July 17, 1937, in Indianapolis, to the late Roy and Cornelia (Harrison) Reeves.
He attended Ben Davis High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. Joe enjoyed a 25 year career at Eli Lilly, retiring as a process supervisor. Following retirement, he moved to Leesburg, Florida to enjoy much warmer winters; however, he always looked forward to spending summer months in Indiana. Joe enjoyed sports, especially cheering on the Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, and was also an avid IU Basketball fan. Joe never turned down an opportunity to travel or play golf. He was one who always continued to learn and embraced technology even as he aged. Above all, he was strongly devoted to his family. A proud husband, father, and grandfather, Joe Reeves will be fondly remembered by a loving family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Nora Juanita Reeves; daughters, Karen (Greg) Dunigan of Wilbur and Denice Corbin of Beech Grove; son, Joseph B. (Stacy) Reeves, Jr. of Woodstock, Georgia; brother, Leroy Jack (Jean) Reeves of Mooresville; step-daughter, Katie (Bill) Campbell of Florida; step-sons, David (Mandy) Jones of Florida and Charles (Amanda) Jones of Texas; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather Monday, July 30, 2018, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the chapel at

God Bless Him for his service, courage and patriotism to his country. I didn’t know Joe at Lilly but I am a Marine Vietnam Vet and I want to express my condolences to his family.
Joe was my first supervisor at Eli Lilly & Co. from 1991 to 1993. He was a good guy to work for. God bless.
