Born in: Mena, Arkansas
Resided in: Mooresville, Indiana

Juanita Faye Helmick
77, of Mooresville, passed away on September 27, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. Juanita was born on November 7, 1947 in Mena, Arkansas to the late Kenneth and Juanita (Campbell) McCloud.

Juanita was a proud graduate of Mooresville High School class of 1965. She worked for Product Development for many years, organizing and distributing the delivery of telephone books. Always on the go, and driving fast, Juanita enjoyed traveling with her family to Arkansas, California, and Florida, just to name a few. She had a natural knack for remembering everyone’s birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, promotions, and sent them cards, just to let them know she was thinking about them. She was also an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and IU as well as being her son and grandkids biggest fan at their sporting events. Additionally, she enjoyed the hunt to find the best deals at Goodwill and listening to Swap Shop on WCBK and wasn’t bashful in using her senior discount. However, she will be remembered for her deep love of her family and staying on top of the latest with her grandkids and great grandkids.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Helmick-Garrard and the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Donald Helmick, Sr.

She is survived by son Don Helmick, Jr.; daughter Kia (Eddie) Moorman; brother Gary (Darlene) McCloud; sister Sharon (Joe) Smith; grandchildren Justin (Sky) Helmick, Skylar Wachs, Kameron Moorman, Lorinne (Austin) Helmick, Paisha Moorman, and 5 great grandchildren, Maeleigh, Adeline, Abby, Amelia, and Maverick who will all miss her dearly.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Juanita’s life on Friday, October 3rd from 4-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 1:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home to help offset their final expenses for a headstone or to the Mental Health of America, 1431 N Delaware St, Indianapolis, IN 46202, https://www.mhai.net/.
