June Kincaid, 76, of Waverly, passed away September 24, 2016 at her home. June was born August 10, 1940, in Kentucky, to the late Weed D. and Melissa (Banks) Dickey. On August 9, 1959 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Pete Kincaid and he survives.

June enjoyed taking care of children at her in-home day care for many years, she retired in 2001. She was a member of Souls Harbor Assembly of God in Plainfield. June loved raising Yorkies and was known to keep more puppies than she sold. She also enjoyed shopping, and was a regular at Macy’s. Most of all June enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her sister, Patty Goff.

Survivors include her husband, Pete; her daughter, Novella F. (Michael) Charon of Carmel; two sons, Gregory C. Kincaid of Indianapolis and Bobby Kincaid of Waverly; three brothers, Dow (Delsie) Dickey of Campton, Kentucky, Danny Dickey of Campton, Kentucky, George (Marsha) Dickey of Campton, Kentucky; two sisters, Jeanie McPherson of Greenwood and Peggy Bayes of Scottsville, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Jeannie Shackelford of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; Eight grandchildren, Melinda Simmons, Elizza Wilson, Erika Wilson, Michaela Burleson, Taylor Kincaid, Bobby Lee Kincaid, Cheyenne Kincaid and Sherri Rosenberg; 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of June Kincaid on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. Pastor Kenny Duke will conduct the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29 at the funeral home. Additional services will be held in Wolfe County, Kentucky where June will be laid to rest in her family cemetery, Kincaid-Profitt Cemetery.

  3. I will miss June. She was a very kind, compassionate lady. She loved greeting people as they came in the church no matter when she was feeling bad. Had a great time with in Costa Rica. She was a special kind of lady that I got to know and loved. In Costa Rica us ladies would tease her and Jeanie about the monkey’s. It was a joke we all shared with them. She is up in Heaven having a grand ole’ time with Jacquie and Ron and other loved ones. Gonna miss seeing her. Prayers for Pete, Jeanie and the family! Love you all!!!

  5. We will greatly miss June, on Sunday morning at church she always asked me,’ where Is my hug’. Heaven has gained a Saint and we have lost one here on earth. Sending our hugs prayers and Love to her husband Pete and her sister Jeanie and their Family.

June gave me my Addison June Conley and when we would see June I would say to my pup there’s your Mammaw June and she would say is that one of my pups she was always good to me and Baby sat a lot of us growing up she will be greatly missed my prayers go out to her husband Pete, Children Daughter Novella,Sons Greg and Bobby and all her family and loved ones may the peace of GOD be with you all I’ll see u in heaven June: Love Elisha (Robertson) Conley

June mothers my children she gave them what I could not she we WHAT I COULD NOT BE Because I was single parents she was not only a baby sitter but she was a mother toy children I will for ever be grateful to her for her love and kindness there were times when didn’t even charge me for watching my kids how many people do you know who would do that I love and will miss always one of few friends that are true sadly missed my heart is brokened

June was the baby setter for my children she was a second mother for my children she can never be replant she watched my children many times for free how many people do you know that would do that I loved her more then she even knew she will always hold a special place in my heart my prays go out to novella Greig Pete and bev

  9. June was such a wonderful, caring, and loving lady. We shared many stories and experiences in the past. So many funny stories about our kids and grandkids. Whenever I needed a shoulder she was there for me. Over the years I have loss touch but she was always in my heart. Just spoke to Novella several weeks ago to see how she was doing, but like so many, we are so busy in our lives, with work, home, kids, grandkids, we lose touch with our friends. My heart goes out to her children, grandchildren, and Pete, she loved them all so very much. I will treasure all our stories and good times, boy did we share some good stories and shopping experiences.

  10. June was such a wonderful loving person. Sweet lady and very friendly. Heaven has gained one of Gods own. Good Christian woman. The same every time you seen her. God bless you sweet lady. Condolences to Pete, Jeanie and family :innocent::cry::bouquet:

  11. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends. June was an amazing women and will be missed dearly, she was my baby sitter when I lived across the street from her for years on 4th avenue may you rest in peace and never forgotten.
